Welcome to our special followup auction event, featuring one-of-a-kind works of art from two incredibly talented Puerto Rican artists. Son of a Saint has provided us with an original acrylic on canvas painting titled Friend of Death, and Atra Messor has created the auction-exclusive canvas print Taino Pride. Both pieces are absolutely beautiful, even more so in person, and completely unique - the most limited of limited editions. And, of course, all auction proceeds go directly to ConPRMetidos.
We are so, so grateful for the generosity of all the creators who donated and the fans who bid during our main auction, raising over $19,000 in pledged donations for ConPRmetidos...
How much more can we raise for Puerto Rico with your help? Let’s find out. Tell your friends. Share this page. Bid as a group to buy a gift for a loved one. Email us if you want to offer a matching donation. Let’s show the world what art (and you) can do.
Scroll down for both individual pieces, and reply to those posts with bids and a way to contact you if you win. Please refer to this post over here about how everything will work. Any issues? Concerns? Corrections? Please email fandomlovespr@gmail.com. Please don't post questions on the auction posts, as we may not see it.

Atra Messor reached out to Fandom Loves Puerto Rico a few days after meeting one of our organizers. He’d been so inspired by the auction’s grassroots effort that he had an original piece specifically for the auction. That work is the exclusive FandomLovesPR print Taino Pride. And when we say exclusive, we mean it: “1 of 1” is written under Atra’s signature. This is the only canvas print of this work that will ever be made.
Atra’s prints regularly sell out at comic conventions, and he is known for his work in everything from hyper-detailed surreal horror, to superhero pop art, to professional logo design. All of these skills can be clearly seen in “Taino Pride,” with its clean lines, powerful female figures, and wildly textured natural elements. Our favorite part, however, is definitely the tiny frog with the Puerto Rican flag pattern on its back. Make sure to look at the detailed photos, and definitely make sure to bid!

Minimum Bid: $150
When one of our organizers met Son of a Saint at New York Comic Con and told him about the event, he immediately showed her a picture of the painting (which he hadn’t even finished yet), and offered it to the auction without hesitation. Members of his family, including his parents, are still living in Puerto Rico. Without the generosity and dedication of Son of a Saint, this special auction would never have been possible.
This is a complex and personal painting by an artist who has gained a significant online following, as well as features in several major publications. With a dynamic color palette, beautiful shadowed details, and a great cause behind it - “Friend of Death” would be a meaningful addition to any home or collection.
