Where you can find my work: I was once SirenoftheStorm on fanfiction.net, but the stuff on there is ten years old now! I have improved. I don't publish my writing online nowadays as I have branched out into original fiction -- but I do still read lots of fanfic and edit friends' work.

I am offering: Beta reads!

Basic level (Grammar, spelling, sentence structure, word usage, and screening for basic inconsistencies and physical impossibilities. One-time, you send it to me and I send it back with edits marked, and if you have any questions about my edits, I answer them.)

Intense level (All the basic stuff, plus I pick at phrasing, awkwardness in sentence structure, characterization, flow of dialogue, plotting, you name it, as well as the basics. This includes opening up a dialogue through the messenger service of your choice or through email about a particular trouble area or plotting snag, and you sending me your revised version for a final check if you've rewritten a bit and want it gone over.)

Quantity: Up to 4 basic, up to 2 thorough.

Minimum bid:
For fics under 25,000 words, $1/1000 words basic, $2/1000 words thorough.
For fics over 25,000 words, flat rate of $30 basic, $55 thorough. If you plan for the fic to be a long one and pick this option, basically you have me at your disposal as editor for the entire fic.

What fandoms I can edit for:
I am familiar with Harry Potter, Sherlock, LotR, Avengers, Narnia, Hamilton, Neil Gaiman's American Gods verse books, Hitchhiker's Guide, Dirk Gently, the Dragonriders of Pern series, Pride & Prejudice (with or without zombies), The Dresden Files, the Ender's Game series, the Alvin Maker series, the Phantom of the Opera (books, play, or film), the Discworld Series, The Farseer series by Robin Hobb, Good Omens, Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, the Kingkiller Chronicles, the Stormlight Archive, Pirates of the Caribbean, Shakespeare, Temeraire, Treasure Island, Wicked, Neil Gaiman's Sandman comics, Leverage, Firefly/Serenity, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Orphan Black, and Stranger Things.

Would love to do: Narnia, Dresden Files, Kingkiller Chronicles, Stormlight Archive, Leverage, Firefly, Orphan Black, Stranger Things. No objections to graphic smut or dark fics, but see below for exceptions.

Will not do: incest, pedophilia, little/daddy kink, or fetishized rape (ie. rape portrayed for the reader's titillation rather than as a violent and traumatic experience), RPF, or crossovers where one character travels through time or into a different universe.

Additional Info: I have personal experience with PTSD, if that's a plus for you? I'm a major, major history nerd as well and excellent at correcting era-inaccurate terminology.

I just read through other authors' stuff and I forgot to mention scat/watersports falls firmly under the Will Not Do category.
